The City is undertaking a major review of its highest level planning document, the Strategic Community Plan (SCP).
The SCP is our blueprint for the City and outlines the vision, outcomes and priorities for our community over a twelve-year period.
Under the Local Government Act 1995, the City is required to undertake a major review of the SCP every four years. The current SCP is for the period 2017 - 2032 and once revised will be for the period 2021 - 2033.
Meaningful community engagement is a critical component in the review of the SCP and provides an opportunity for the community to have input into decision-making and future direction.
City Vision is the community engagement project that will deliver a Strategic Community Plan that is functional, measurable and genuinely informed by the community.
What is happening now?
From Monday 1 February, we want to know what you think makes the City unique and what you think we should prioritise in the future. You can share these ideas online, sms or in person at one of our listening post locations.
During this stage of engagement, we’ll also be asking you how you want to be involved. We have developed a community engagement program that takes into account that our community has different levels of capacity, both in time and interest, simply choose a VicVision adventure that best suits you.
